Languedoc Roussillon: Attractive Real Estate
Composed of five departments (Aude, Gard, Lozere, Hérault and Eastern Pyrenees), the Languedoc-Roussillon region has been able to take advantage of its climate and the diversity of its landscapes to develop an agriculture and tourist attractiveness higher than the French average.
Producing nearly 40% of French wine, the region is hit hard by new international competition. Slightly industrialized (14% of jobs, compared with 23% nationally), the Languedoc-Roussillon region now relies on a modern and dynamic tertiary sector.
With nearly 40,000 students at the universities of Montpellier, the region rejuvenates considerably! Tourism, the main source of income, is based on natural heritage (coastline, seaside resorts, protected areas), but also cultural (historic cities such as Nîmes, medieval cities such as Carcassonne ...).
For investors in real estate rental report, annual rental net profitability rates reach 5% in residential real estate and 8.5% in real estate business (commercial premises and shops in the city center). These rates remain among the most attractive at the national level.
